It looks like I never updated this post above... it's a bit of a confusing site... but I did get my Medicaid back and they covered almost all the things done in ER.

Tracy... I was just searching the web for Laura's name. Hoping to find more pics of her posted. I can't sleep. I saw this post about her. I didn't know you posted this... I think it is so wonderful that you posted this. I wish I could come home and be with you all. I love you so much. I can't believe our beautiful niece is gone.

My husband recently got treatment at a Mission of Mercy free Dental Clinic held here in Nebraska. It was a total blessing. We were lucky enough to catch it on the news. I really wish there was a way to spread the news/provide transportation for those how aren't as lucky as we are to have TV and a vehicle that still runs. I'm sure money is to tight to do door to door messages to those who are in need or even handing out information at local charity spots like DHS and so forth. Anyway, please look online for more information. I did a quick search and didn't find anything in Louisianna. I did find this information though, for free medical and dental clinics in LA... but I don't know what area you are in:

I hope you can find a clinic near you and get the help you need. I know the excrutiating pain that comes from issues with your teeth. I've been there myself. Good luck to you.

I would like to say that I am now receiving Medicaid and they grandfathered in July so it covers my enormous bill from July 16th of over $11,000.00. My 3 y/o has a bill of a little over $400 from tests done in the ER several months ago that wasn't a medicaid covered item. NCO Financial is hounding me... I don't dare even answer the phone any more and they call over and over and over again.

Now that I have Medicaid again, I got to have the sonogram on my thyroid and great news... it's just enlarged and no tumors or nodules noted. They will do my blood work again in December (every 6 months) to make sure my thyroid is still working correctly. This really is great news because my mother had thyroid cancer. She was hypo and hyper off and on through her life. My colonoscopy will be this Wednesday. Prayers for good news there as well would be appreciated.

I was blessed, recently, with my son winning a high value coupon from oldnavyweekly.com. Every Thursday or Friday they reset the website and "hide" coupons. My son found a $65 off $100 and we got to print it. What a HUGE blessing that was. We got my 3 y/o and 15 y/o some clothing with that.

I just want to say that I believe in Karma. I try to do good things and believe God will bless me with good things for myself and my family. I offered "extra" food on Craigslist recently and it went very quickly. I have a deep freeze and it was a bit full from the free Van de Kamp's fish I got recently... so I cleared some out and got to share that and other stuff with others.

I'm reading some posts and I think I am blessed because I am making a small amount of money by selling on eBay and I do get food stamps and that puts food on the table. I am not homeless, because my 15 y/o son's father demands his son live in a "nice" area, so pays for our housing... something I couldn't afford at all. So, because I don't have money to offer others, I will offer my knowledge on how to save money/get free or near free food and other items. I sell items on eBay that I buy with coupons... so that is how I sell things and also how I stretch my food stamps benefit. I know there is a printable coupon on smartsource (just look up smartsource for the link to the coupon printing site) for $3 off Van de Kamp's seafood. At my Walmart, they cost just $3.98 a box... so just $.98 after the coupon. You have to enter zip code 77477 to find that coupon. Also, there is a $3 Mrs. Paul's coupon using zip code 30013. I hope this helps someone. I would be happy to share more if anyone wants.

I'm a 41 y/o female. I recently had medicaid but lost it as of July 1st. I work from home, mostly selling items on eBay and other venues. It's hard for me to work away from home due to chronic pain and some digestive issues. I have a 15 y/o from my first marriage and I also have a 3 y/o from my subsequent marriage. On July 16th, I had to go to the ER due to chest pain. They thought it was a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in my lung), but thankfully, it wasn't. I now have a hospital bill of $11,033. When they did the testing, they found 3 other things... I have an enlarged heart, fatty liver and an enlarged thyroid. They say it appears to be a small nodule on my thyroid. This is scary for me, my mother had thyroid cancer. My doctor told me to try and "fix/get" insurance, but don't wait more than a month or so to schedule/have my sonogram and possible biopsy on my thyroid. I don't have insurance and I surely don't have the money to pay my bill or for this procedure. I had to borrow money to pay the $104 doctor's office fee to follow up with my regular doctor after the visit to the ER. I can show proof of my bill to anyone who would like to help. Don't even send me money... send it directly to the hospital for me. This help will hopefully free up a little money so I can get items/clothing for my sons. My 15y/o starts school on the 13th of August and my 3 y/o will go to Early Headstart on the 18th of August. They both need school clothes. Thanks for reading.
